Tipton Past: The Sidmouth Road

Recently Tipton has felt rather cut off from the outside world; with roads collapsing, closures, traffic lights and potholes, all restricting normal access in and out of the village. Due to subsidence the Sidmouth road has been completely closed and has caused quite a struggle for many of us trying to get to and from Sidmouth, having to find alternative routes which then take us onto the narrower lanes.

Tipton Times was started in 1969 and is produced and distributed to local households every two months by volunteers. Costs are met from voluntary contributions. For details on how you can support us financially, see the inside front page of any edition. You can also let us know via the contact box below if you would like to make a regular or one-off donation.

You can download the online version from our website but if you’d prefer to have your own regular copy sent to you via email, simply subscribe via the link at the bottom of this page.
