Welcome to the December/January edition of Tipton Times. We hope you find much to enjoy within the following pages as well as information about upcoming events. We also keep an online diary of forthcoming events on the Tipton Times website: https://www.tiptontimes.org.uk/events-calendar/which is an up-to-date source of what’s happening in the village.
If you’re not familiar with the website, do feel free to have a browse. Apart from the calendar we also have a page of online links to village and other organisations: https://www.tiptontimes.org.uk/links/. Do check this and let us know if your contact information is up to date or if you would like your details listed here (if you’re part of a village group which is not yet included). The Tipton St John online hub is also a great way of staying in touch with village events, with useful links to the Community Hall and Playing Field: .https://tiptonstjohn.co.uk/
As well as the current edition, you will also find previous copies of Tipton Times going back to October/November 2022: https://www.tiptontimes.org.uk/newsletter-archive/. You will also notice that the photographs in our online edition are of much higher quality. The photographs of the latest TIPPS production on pages 4 and 5 are an excellent example.
Many thanks to you all for reading and supporting your village magazine. We wish you a very joyful Christmas and Happy New Year!
The Editors
| We were so sad to hear that Jerry Dewhurst passed away last weekend. He will be much missed by the village community and we send our deepest sympathy to Angie and his sons and grandchildren.
We have been informed that Gareth Jones, son of Dave Jones and brother of Davey Jones, recently passed away. Again, our condolences to his family and all those in the village who remember him. It is with sadness that we also let you know that Barry Croud has passed away, on 24th November, peacefully at home with all his family present. He will be greatly missed. |
