Thank you to those of you who came to see Peter Pan in February. Wasn’t it a fantastic experience? The play was written by Claire Devin and Natalie Anning and the cast really did them proud.

The children especially were excellent, they had a lot more to say than they are used to and they acted their socks off. They also proved to be very good with distraction tactics and sleight of hand when the food appeared out of nowhere! The set was just right and thespecial effects, the props and costumes, as usual, were brilliant. Congratulations and well done to all.

Most of you will know that storm Chandra caused our storage sheds to be flooded in January. Luckily the set had already been erected, otherwise we may not have been able to go ahead with Peter Pan. A lot of our things were unsalvageable but, with many hours of hard work, clearing, cleaning and

transporting things to members own sheds and houses to dry out, a lot was also saved. Many thanks to a wonderful team for all you have done. Also thank you to everyone whose washing machines were working overtime!

A bit later in the year we are hoping to produce some one act plays – at present we are not sure when they will be but possibly in the first week of June or we may incorporate them with our AGM which will be in July.

We are still definitely on with the Murder mystery in October (29th, 30th and 31st) which will be Halloween themed. This evening will also include a two course supper. We are very excited to be producing something we have never done before. Don’t forget to save the date.

I’m very much hoping, as I’m sure you all are, that the monsoon season is now over and we see somesunshine soon. Fingers crossed!
